Remote interlocking installed 2007, controlled by Norfolk Southern CJ dispatcher

Crossing of Norfolk Southern Chicago Junction line, the paralleling CSX former Baltimore & Ohio line, and the paralleling Pennsylvania Railroad Panhandle line, abandoned 1986, with the CN former Alton Route. This crossing was not equipped with interlocking signals until 2007. Prior to then all trains were required to stop before crossing, including Amtrak trains to and from St. Louis.
