CONTINUED


Continuation of a Southern Railway steam excursion on October 6, 1979, from Knoxville TN to Asheville NC.


Asheville, more specifically the Biltmore area, where the train would be turned. Behind the steam locomotive was a diesel locomotive (FP7 type), which assisted over some of the hillier segments.


Coming back, passing through Nocona NC.


Closer to sunset, as the train approaches the state line near Paint Rock NC.
