AMERICA'S STREAMLINERS

WABASH RAILROAD

(DOME ERA)

The dome equipped Blue Bird between Chicago and St. Louis was the Wabash Railroad's only completely new streamliner serving Chicago. In addition, the City of Kansas City operated between St. Louis and Kansas City. The City of Kansas City was later assigned a dome coach, possibly transferred from the Blue Bird.

Wabash also participated with Union Pacific in operation of the City of St. Louis, connecting that city with the west coast.

Only streamlined trains and the most important stations are shown.
