LISLE FEEDER ROUTES

Feeder network originally set up by Village of Woodridge likely early 1974, and known as Ridge Runner. Originally with two feeder routes to the Belmont and the Lisle Metra stations, and a midday shopper route. The Village of Bolingbrook was later added to this network, and service was expanded. Service was generally operated by contract operators, often school bus companies. Early operators of these services probably included Valley Transit and later Wolff's Bus Service. By 1979 operated by Commuter Bus Systems until 1985, operated by Star Transportation during next few years. Eventually operated by by Du Page Motor Coach Co./Westmont, which evolved to First Student. Service suspended effective 4/13/2020 due to covid-19 pandemic.

Towards the end of the afternoon rush hour and into the evening, there was demand for some feeder bus service from the Metra station, but not enough demand to justify operation of all the separate routes. Evening routes were combined, and around 2016 a separate set of route numbers was assigned to the combined routes. They were #186 (East Lisle) and #187 (West Lisle). The buses only received passengers at the station and did not follow a formal route. But the driver would determine a route based on the passengers' destinations.
