WHEATON FEEDER ROUTES

Feeder network serving Wheaton. Service was generally operated by contract operators, often school bus companies. Unless noted, routes operated under contract by Commuter Bus Systems until 1986 From 1986 to 1997, routes mostly operated by Du Page Motor Coach Co./Glen Ellyn, later Vancom and Laidlaw. During late 1980's, some routes operated by Kammes Bus Service. From 1997 until 2002, routes operated by Ryder Student Transportation, before again being operated by Laidlaw. Most of these routes were eventually discontinued.

Pace Contract Operations
Overview of some of the privately owned bus companies, notably school bus operations, which provided bus service for Pace under contract.


705 - South Central Wheaton - rush hour feeder route introduced 12/2/85, discontinued 2/13/87.

706 - Southeast Wheaton - rush hour feeder route introduced 8/13/79, discontinued 6/9/2008.

707 - Southwest Wheaton - rush hour feeder route introduced 8/13/79, discontinued 6/9/2008.

708 - North Wheaton - rush hour feeder route introduced 11/26/79, consolidated into route #711 effective 4/3/2000.

709 - North Wheaton-Carol Stream - rush hour feeder route introduced 11/26/79. In 2008 contract assumed by MV Transportation/Batavia. Suspended effective 4/13/2020 due to covid-19 pandemic.

710 - Wheaton-Carol Stream - rush hour feeder route introduced 12/12/77, originally operated under contract by Wolff Bus Co.,discontinued by 2000.
