LOST STATIONS MIDWEST

MILWAUKEE ROAD

La Crosse Division/First Subdivision

All stations were still in operation through the formation of Amtrak in 1971, except Fall River. Pewaukee and Hartland and additional stations were strictly served by a commuter train operating between Milwaukee and Watertown, discontinued in 1972. Amtrak retained service at Columbus and Portage. The discontinuance of the commuter train in 1972 resulted in the end of passenger service to Oconomowoc and Watertown, and intermediate stops.

Milepost locations are indicated, distance from Chicago.
