Rock Island did not join Amtrak in 1971, and was required to continue operating its intercity passenger trains from Chicago to Rock Island and Peoria until 1978. Final stations beyond Joliet were Morris, Ottawa, La Salle-Peru, Bureau.

Morris (61.7) - station was located east of Liberty St., on the south side of the tracks. The station building still stands.
Seneca (71.9) - station was located north of Crotty Ave., on the south side of the tracks. Until the 1930's, passenger trains of the New York Central/Big Four also used this station.
Marseilles (77.3) - station was located south of the intersection of Washington St. and Roath St., on the north side of the tracks. The station building still stands.
Ottawa (84.5) - station was located west of Paul St., on the south side of the tracks. The station building still stands.
Utica (94.0) - station was located east of Mill St., on the south side of the tracks.
La Salle (99.0) - station was located on 1st St. east of Creve Coeur St., on the north side of the tracks. The station building still stands.
Peru (100.0) - station was located southwest of the intersection of Plain St. and Center St., on the north side of the tracks.
Spring Valley (104.3) - station was located west of Spalding St., on the north side of the tracks.
DePue (109.9) - station was located west of Pleasant St., on the north side of the tracks. The station building still stands.
Bureau (114.2) - station was located west of Nebraska St., which is west of the junction between the main line and the Peoria branch. The station building still stands, between the two lines.
