Intercity trains operated until the formation of Amtrak in 1971, with all and additional stations except Pence surviving when passenger service was discontinued.

Elcho (228.7) - station was located north of Rummel St., on the west side of the track.

Rhinelander (254.2) - station was located west of Pelham St., on the north side of the track.

Mercer (305.2) - station was located at the north end of Lakeview Ave., on the south side of the track.

Hurley (328.2) - station was located west of 5th Ave., on the south side of the track.

Pence - station was located at the north end of Maple St., on the south side of the track.

Saxon (341.0) - station was located at the north end of Church St., on the north side of the track. Station was shared with the Duluth South Shore & Atlantic Railroad, whose track was north of the station.

Ashland (366.0) - station was located west of Chapple Ave., on the north side of the track.
