Michigan Division

Until the formation of Amtrak in 1971, trains stopped at all listed stations except Porter and Buchanan. Initially Amtrak only stopped at Niles, but later restored service to Michigan City and Dowagiac, and finally a new station in New Buffalo.

Porter IN (240.7) - station was located east of the interlocking there, on the south side of the tracks.

Michigan City IN (228.9) - station was located west of Washington St., on the south side of the tracks. The station building still stands.

Buchanan (198.5) - station was located east of Red Bud Trail, on the north side of the tracks.

Niles (192.0) - station was located east of 5th St., on the north side of the tracks. The station building still stands, Amtrak continues to stop there.

Dowagiac (179.6) - station was located east of Park Pl., on the north side of the tracks. The station building still stands, Amtrak continues to stop there.

Decatur (168.3) - station was located east of Park St., on the north side of the tracks.

Lawton (160.6) - station was located east of Main St., on the north side of the tracks.
