Until the discontinuance of passenger service in 1956, nearly all stations listed remained in use by passenger trains. Chicago & North Western acquired Chicago Great Western in 1968, and subsequently abandoned this route.
In earlier years, passenger service also operated over a spur south of Sycamore to De Kalb. By the 1930's, this service was replaced with buses.

Sycamore (56.6) - station was located west of Main St. on the south side of the track.
Clare (64.1) - station was located east of Clare Rd., on the south side of the track. The building still stands.
Byron (87.8) - station was location northwest of the intersection of Union St. and 4th St., on the south side of the track.
Stockton (131.1) - station was located east of Main St., on the north side of the track.
Elizabeth (143.3) - station was located west of Madison St., on the south side of the track. The building still stands.
