CHICAGO'S LOST STATIONS

CHICAGO BURLINGTON & QUINCY

Galesburg & Quincy Subdivision

Intermediate stations still in operation until the formation of Amtrak in 1971, were Bushnell, Macomb, Augusta, and Golden. The Macomb station remains in use by Amtrak, while Amtrak serves Quincy using a modest station northeast of the center of town.

Abingdon (172.3) - station was located south of Adams St., on the west side of the track.

Avon (182.8) - station was located north of Cortland St., on the east side of the track.

Prairie City (185.5) - station was located south of Mercer St., on the west side of the track.

Bushnell (191.4) - station was located south of Davis St., on the east side of the track.

Macomb (202.3) - station was located west of Randolph St., on the south side of the track. The station building still stands.

Colchester (209.3) - station was located at the south end of Elizabeth St., on the north side of the track.

Plymouth (221.8) - station was located south of Hancock St., on the west side of the track.

Augusta (225.9) - station was located north of Washington St., on the east side of the track.

Golden (235.2) - station was located south of Wendell St., on the west side of the track.

Camp Point (240.9) - station was located east of Main St., on the north side of the track.

Quincy (262.3) - station was located at the west end of Oak St., on the east side of the track.
