
ScotRail commuter rail service between Edinburgh and Glasgow is frequent, over three different routes. The first stop west of Edinburgh is Haymarket.

We rode the primary route from Edinburgh to Glasgow, via Falkirk High. A rather pretty commute actually. Between stations the trains reach 100 mph, faster than any Metra trains in Chicago.
