In 1965, the new Milwaukee Road station opened. And in 1966, the Chicago & North Western moved its trains into that new station.

In 1966, remaining trains were moved to the new Milwaukee Road station.
Amtrak continues to use the new Milwaukee Road station, opened in 1965. The new station is located at 433 W. St. Paul Ave., a short distance south of the old Milwaukee Road station.

By 2007, the Milwaukee Road station had received a facelift.
