Passenger service discontinued in 1970, last train was the Birmingham Special.

Until early 1940's, Southern Railway passenger trains also operated between Knoxville and Cumberland Gap.

STATIONS TODAY

The Louisville & Nashville station was located in an area which was redeveloped for the 1982 World's Fair. The station still stands.

The Southern Railway station still stands, and is occupied by various businesses.
