Opened 1909, replacing earlier Central Station at same location built in 1888

Opened 1881, replacing earlier station at same location built in 1858

STATIONS TODAY

The last passenger train serving Chattanooga was a Southern Railway train, discontinued in 1970, one year before the creation of Amtrak.

The Chattanooga Terminal Station has been preserved for other uses. While Chattanooga Union Station was demolished in 1973.
