Consolidation in 1917 of what had been the following interurban railway companies:

Sheboygan Light, Power & Railway Co. (Sheboygan-Plymouth-Elkhart Lake)
Fond Du Lac & Oshkosh Railway Co.
Winnebago Traction Co. (Oshkosh-Neenah)

Acquired in 1924 by Wisconsin Power & Light Co., controlled by Middle West Utilities Co.

Interurban lines:
Sheboygan-Plymouth-Elkhart Lake (constructed 1899-1909)
Fond Du Lac-Oshkosh (constructed 1903)
Oshkosh-Neenah (constructed 1899)

Interurban service operated until 1927

Local service: Fond Du Lac, Oshkosh, Sheboygan

Wisconsin Power & Light Co. operated buses replacing the interurban railway lines, known as the "Orange Line". In 1945, Orange Line was sold to Northland Greyhound Lines.


WISCONSIN TRACTION LIGHT HEAT & POWER CO.
Incorporated 1900, acquiring Fox River Valley Electric Co.
and Appleton Electric Light & Power Co.

Renamed 1927 to Wisconsin-Michigan Power Co.

Controlled after 1923 by North American Co.

Interurban lines:
Neenah-Appleton (constructed 1898)
Appleton-Kaukauna (constructed 1902)

Interurban service operated until 1928

Local service: Appleton

Competing bus service operated by Wisconsin Power & Light Co. "Orange Line".


WISCONSIN PUBLIC SERVICE CO.
Incorporated 1911, acquiring Fox River Railway & Power Co.

Controlled after 1925 by Standard Gas & Electric Co.

Kaukauna-Green Bay (constructed 1904)

Interurban service operated until 1928

Local service: Green Bay

Competing bus service operated by Wisconsin Power & Light Co. "Orange Line".


MANITOWOC & NORTHERN TRACTION CO.
Incorporated 1902 as Manitowoc & Northern Traction Co., sold 1922 to Wisconsin-Minnesota Light & Power Co., sold 1923 to Wisconsin Public Service Co.

Manitowoc-Two Rivers (constructed 1902)

Interurban service operated until 1926

Local service: Manitowoc


NORTHERN STATES POWER CO.
Incorporated 1898 as Chippewa Valley Light Railway & Power Co., sold 1914 to Wisconsin-Minnesota Light & Power Co., sold 1923 to Northern States Power Co., a subsidiary of Standard Gas & Electric Co.
