Atlanta-Stone Mountain (1913-1948)

Also operated local service in Atlanta. Stone Mountain route converted to buses and sold to Suburban Coach Co. in 1948. Suburban Coach Co. eventually became part of publicly owned Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA), covered in the Atlanta section of this Web site. Marietta route sold in 1946 to Atlanta Northern Lines, which converted line to buses in 1947, and resold line to Southeastern Greyhound Lines in 1948. Since 1989, service between Marietta and Atlanta operated by publicly owned Cobb County Community Transit
