Subsidiary Crandic Stages began operating supplemental bus service in 1930. In 1934, Crandic Stages acquired by Interstate Transit Lines, which in 1943 began operating under name Overland Greyhound Lines, and in 1952 was consolidated into Overland Greyhound Lines. Replacement bus service on main route operated by Iowa City-Cedar Rapids Bus Lines, by 1960's operated by Missouri Transit Lines. Operated at least into 1970's.

In 1931, Fort Dodge Des Moines & Southern Transportation Co. acquired by Interstate Transit Lines, which in 1943 began operating under name Overland Greyhound Lines, and in 1952 was consolidated into Overland Greyhound Lines.
