Wisconsin Michigan Coaches was formed in 1962, as the merger of these companies.

Green Bay Wausau Lines, Green Bay-Wausau
Wisconsin Michigan Transit Lines, Green Bay-Iron Mountain-Iron River, began operations in 1959
Cherry Transit Co., Green Bay-Algoma-Sturgeon Bay, began operations by 1930's

In 1952, Green Bay Wausau Lines had acquired Land O' Lakes Bus Co., with an original route Stevens Point-Antigo-Land O' Lakes.

For many years prior, Green Bay Wausau Lines had been affiliated with The Motor Bus Co., with route Wausau-Eau Claire, absorbed into Wisconsin Michigan Coaches in 1965.

In 1972 acquired Bay View Bus Line, which Lake & Bay View Bus Line until 1960, and had route Manitowoc-Sturgeon Bay-Gills Rock. That route was first introduced from Manitowoc to Sturgeon Bay in 1922 by Ed Stone, which a few years later became part of Lake Shore Transportation Co. Lake Shore Transportation Co. earlier also operated a route from Manitowoc to Fond Du Lac, introduced in 1923 by Nick Backhous, and at one time operated a route from Manitowoc to Appleton, introduced in 1922 by the Crocker Brothers.

From 1982 to 1989 was a Trailways member, operating as Wisconsin Michigan Trailways. From 1989 to 1994 operated as Scenic Trailways. Operated until 1994.
