Buses acquired since 1974, when system was reorganized as the Department of Transportation.
Buses acquired between 1945 and 1973, when it system was still known as the Department of Street Railways.
Buses acquired between 1922 and 1942.
Buses acquired between 1920 and 1931, prior to acquisition by Department of Street Railways.
Streetcars acquired by Detroit United Railway and predecessor companies. Most of these streetcars continued in operation under the Department of Street Railways.
Streetcars operated by the Department of Street Railways, including those purchased new. Detroit's last streetcars operated in 1956.
Between 1930 and 1937, and between 1949 and 1962, a few trolleybus routes were operated.
