CLASSIC TRACK DIAGRAMS

CHICAGO AND NORTH WESTERN

Kenosha Subdivision

Chicago & North Western line from Chicago to Milwaukee, as it existed during 1950's to 1970's. Prior to then, additional interlockings existed at Main Street and at Wilmette, which was the previous north end of the three track segment. Shown are the numerous local stops in Chicago and Evanston, discontinued in 1958. Also indicated are signal numbers, which were generally consecutively numbered instead of the more customary mileage numbering system. Odd numbers outbound and even numbers inbound. Chicago & North Western successor Union Pacific has since changed the signal numbers to the more traditional nearest odd or even tenth of a mile.
