Beginning in 1917, intrastate bus service was regulated by the Utah Public Utilities Commission. Information from annual reports is available through 1923.
Information is vague for bus lines operating prior to regulation. Multiple carriers were sometimes approved over certain routes. It is apparent that some carriers at times were required to renew a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity, sometimes related to suspensions of operation.
